The Group needs records to operate and to keep in touch...
To enable the Group to operate, and to keep in touch with its members - we need to keep records about our members. This includes keeping details of their name; address; date of birth, contact telephone numbers. To help us, please complete fully the Young Person Information Form when you are asked to. The Group will also keep details of each member’s progress through Scouting (badges gained etc.). The Group uses the ‘Online Scout Manager’, which is an internet based program that has the required levels of security, to hold these records, .
Sometimes photographs, digital and/or video images of Members of 2nd Wimborne Scout Group taking part in activities are used within the Scout Group, in District or County Newsletters and/or websites, are submitted to the local newspapers, or are put on display. The assumption is that you are happy for your scout to be photographed within the guidelines below however if you have any objections please indicate you are not willing for your child's image to be used in this way by informing your section leader; in addition when we are taking photographs, video and audio recordings we will always seek our young people’s consent in the form of a verbal agreement; explaining why we are taking images and audio and the way the image will be used.
